Powerful Label Design Features
By making use of a full-featured set of label design Wizards, even beginners are
able to create labels quickly and easily. Any label layout can be designed by
combining Windows and printer fonts, barcodes, drawing elements and graphics files.
Flexible design tools, presented in a user interface that conforms to the latest
Windows standards, help users create labels accurately and quickly. Labels can
include a wide range of variable fields such as prompted values, serialised fields
and date and time stamps. NiceLabel products provide support
for all industry-standard barcodes, including 2-D. With multiple options for check-digit
calculation, any possible requirement can be supported. Supported barcodes and
2-D symbologies include: EAN-13, EAN-14, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Interleaved 2 of
5, Code-39 (full ASCII), Code-93, Code-128 (A,B,C), Postnet (32, 37, 52, 62),

Custom Data-entry Forms Increase Reliability and Productivity
Label printing operators often stumble on an over-featured user interface which
increases the frequency of errors when printing labels. This is where NiceForm
- a generator of customisable input forms - steps into action. Simplicity of creation
does not exclude advanced features such as database connectivity, label preview
and linked forms. The generated forms are used as stand-alone Windows applications
and require no training to master.
NiceWatch
 At times automated printing is required in a multi-operating system environment (Unix, AS/400, Host etc.) or complex application environments (ERP, WMS etc.), where it is not possible to write program code using Automation commands. Deploying NiceWatch, a powerful data detection module, provides an affordable solution in these situations that acts as a middle-ware on a Windows-based OC. NiceWatch is an event-driven application capable of monitoring and detecting data in many different formats to trigger the start of label production. The standard scenario involves writing text files or exporting databases from an ERP system or other application to a shared network drive. Other trigger options include communication from serial port devices (barcode reader, scale etc.) and monitoring POP3 email accounts. The TCP/IP trigger option allows you to accept information via TCP/IP ports from other computers or devices on the network. Should incoming data be in a non-structured format (reports, printer command files, serial port and TCP/IP data etc.), there are many ways to process it. NiceWatch provides numerous filters to properly extract data for label printing, leaving the existing application entirely unmodified. |
